I am ready to set my server online and wanted to make it as professional as possible. What happened with the original license and assets and the whole game?

well , all those servers using apparels about other games, characters , movies. They should be worried.. is what i think about private servers.

So people are just doing private server without license but how is Pirate King Online doing it? Isn't it dangerous to get sued?
Who could sue who?

PKO the only server with rights to the game but who are they gonna sue? PO remade everything. If you mean other servers they all die too fast to matter.
